In August 2005, during the Kalachakra initiation in Poland, Venerable Tenga Rinpoche officially announced that the first western three-year retreat centre under the auspices of the H.E. Sangje Nyenpa Rinpoche and Ven. Tenga Rinpoche would be located in Grabnik.

Rinpoche would like to describe his plan to establish a three-year retreat centre here in Grabnik. This would not only be for Rinpoche's Polish students, but would be open to any of his European students who wish to perform the practices of the three-year retreat.
This retreat centre will be given the same name as the retreat that Rinpoche established in Pharping, Nepal; that centre was named by HH the XVII Karmapa, Ogjen Trinle Dorgje as Benchen Drubde Osal Ling, 'The Radiant Light Site of Practice'. We will be using the same name here: Benchen Drubde Osal Ling Poland.
With the wish that the practice of all those who use this retreat centre will be successful and thereby be of benefit to both themselves and other students in Europe, as an auspicious gesture, Rinpoche is today making a gift of sixteen cushions for use within the retreat.


Lama Rinchen was appointed by both Rinpoches as a teacher of this three-year retreat centre (see the letter).

Our Polish Lama Rinchen, is truly done 3 year retreat, qualified both rituals and practices and we asked him to teach Dharma in Europe and particularly in Poland. He is trained very well all our traditional practice under our guidance and instruction during his retreat and generally each and every time he visits us.
